Hi, I’m Farah! I have 30+ years of experience in professional photography & serve the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for seniors and grads, families, maternity, & lifestyle photography

My Story

I love to travel and meet new people. I started Farah-J Photography, a local Family and Senior Photography business, in 2016 and have loved every step of this remarkable journey. It has allowed me to meet so many amazing people and capture moments for their families which they can cherish for years to come. My passion has led me to several international destinations and also allowed me to land many exhibitions and publications in various Galleries and Magazine, both nationally and abroad.

I realized that photography gives me the ability to express myself like nothing else does. It’s a tool that helps pave the path for my inner world into the outside world and vice versa. Besides traveling and exploring the world, I have always felt a sense of responsibility to use my passion for creating a better understanding not only between peoples of different backgrounds and cultures, but also as a means to work toward the betterment of humanity by focusing on the countless social and humanitarian issues around the globe. This desire led to my hiring by humanitarian and news organizations, including The United Nations, Save The Children, and Seventeen Magazine, to cover stories for them.

But after I became a Mom, I realized that I had to find a way to continue pursuing my passion as a photographer where I could fulfill my dream as a travel and humanitarian photographer but also not compromise quality time with my family. So, after a few months of serious thought and encouragement from family and friends, I established Farah-J Photography, a family photography business in Keller, Texas, which finds joy in memorizing special moments and milestones in people’s lives. It has been pure joy working with so many wonderful families and preserving so many memories for them!

What sets my work apart from some of the other photographers is the fact that I love to keep the pictures as natural and real as possible and that I build a bond with my clients which goes beyond just a business service and transaction. Farah-J Photography is where you might start as a client but end up as a forever friend. To me, the satisfaction of my clients takes precedence over everything else
